Below, you’ll find a Pivot Table of my LinkedIn Profile Growth starting from November 1, 2018 – March 27, 2020. I started using LinkedIn in late February 2013, and had a mere 34 connections by the end of 2014, almost 2 years later. I was 20 years old when I created my account, and I’m almost (fairly certain) my LinkedIn Profile page did not get me my first big-boy job offer or college internship(s).
As a matter of fact, I believe not having any LinkedIn activity, or Social Media Activity, generally speaking, (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter), is maybe what got me my job – aside from my amazing personality of course. (I kid, I kid..)
Fast Forward to October 2019, and my mindset shifted. Some might call it an adoption of a “growth mindset” or, in my own words, the ability to generate raw talent through hard work, discipline and input from others.
In Quarter 4 – 2019, my LinkedIn profile generated 984 followers. Fast forward further to Quarter 1 – 2020, my LinkedIn profile has generated nearly 3,300 followers in the last 90 days.
In theory, if I stay on track with this exponential growth, I’ll reach ~30K Followers by the end of September, or Quarter 3.
What does this mean? To me, it means ANYONE, and I mean literally any body, can grow rapidly on this platform if they follow the 3-Step Approach. The 3-Step Approach is the simplest way to gain traction on this platform. Here it is:

Now, some will call this a rubbish or scary way to gain followers. I think, rather, it’s the opposite. Instead, especially during these uncertain times, when workers are at home almost 24/7, and need something to do.. I feel it’s the BEST time to GROW on this platform. Don’t you?
